In this album I document my reconstruction try of a 11/12th c. north Germany (Schleswig findings) child shoe. Sometimes you find pictures of reconstruction tries of this shoe type in the internet. People embroidered the leather with silk or wool threads – nice but not historical correct in my opinion. If you have read the documentary of the findings you can easily find out that the researchers found remains of silver bands in the leather. Embroidering a leather shoe with silver bands was a new challenge for me, so let´s try it out. I am sure I gain a lot of experience in this new technic and will do a lot of things different the next time. Here I will share my faults and my successes.
